Love them works just as good or better than the name brand. One caveat is that you will get the best results if you use warm water. Again, love them because they are less than half the price and work just as well.
Decided to try these out due to being half the cost of Seabond. They work absolutely amazing. Comfortable with a great hold at a good price. Definitely will be swapping to these for my upper dentures moving forward!
Only downside is they dont color code which side goes facedown on the denture (make sure to put the weave like pattern down)
Not as gentle on your gums as sea bond. They do stick pretty good. My gums are a little sore after using these vs. seabond. The grip is secure.
I have been using sea-bond pads since I got my dentures 4+ years ago. Sea-bond have gotten so expensive though, so I tried these. I bought them about 2 months ago but was nervous, so it took me until this week to give them a shot.
I should have tried them sooner. Period.
They are about 1/2 the cost—for starters—and that is huge in this day. I have been using them for the whole week. Every day. I used a pre-cut sea-bond pad (I always cut a few months at a time) as the form to trim a week’s worth of these down to size.
The first thing that I noticed is that these are slightly narrower, so be aware if you have wider jaws that could affect how well they work for you, but I would still try them. (Narrower, for me, was actually good because it made them easier to trim. I have a very narrow jaw and high pallet.)
Fitting my dentures originally was nightmarish so normalizing wearing them took a lot of effort. Denture pads already made that a lot easier—trim it to fit, put it in, no mess, nothing squeezing out of the edges like pastes-gross. Spritz with water, give it a minute, seat the denture and bite down for a few seconds. I add a step—I take a sip of water and swish it up over the denture until I feel it saturate and then I bite down again for a few seconds again to make sure it is fully seated.
These, while they have slightly different instructions, they work exactly the same.
They do NOT use Red 40 or Red 33. (Sea-bond does and my son is allergic to Red 33/40–so I was always worried that even kissing his forehead might lead to a reaction since his allergy is both contact and consumption.)
They do not feel sticky, slimy, or stringy when I remove them. The pad just comes right off and goes in the trash. No pink residue on my dentures or hands or anything else!! With the sea-bond there were always sticky strings of adhesive pulling away and leaving residue on my hands and feeling slimy.
The only ‘confusion’ I had was knowing which side was the top/bottom of the pad because they’re both white, because no red 40. One side looks like it has tiny crosshatching whereas the other side looks almost like combed cotton. The combed side is up and the crosshatch is down. It’s a subtle difference but you’ll see it.
I can take these out temporarily and out them back in!!! I am a dirty nasty smoker and I do NOT smoke in my dentures of I can avoid it. I can take a sip of water, use it to break the seal, wrap my dentures together in a paper towel and put in a zipper bag. The paper towel doesn’t seal to the pad. I go have my smoke or two. Then unwrap and put back in place, take a sip of water to moisten and then bite down again and the seal feels just as strong as when I put them in originally. This info won’t help everyone but I wanted to share that experience as well.
Overall these are just as good, if not better, than sea-bond. The seal is strong. It lasts all day. In fact it noticeably lasts all day, unlike sea-bond which gets weaker and more ‘slidey’ throughout the day. I haven’t felt like I had to take my teeth out with these. They haven’t felt too loose to eat. I really mean it. I should have tried them years sooner.
I personally did not find these effective
The liners are very durable, and the price is even better. I was buying the leading brand and at first, they were very good but expensive. I’ve noticed that the quality of the leading brand that I was using went down over the last year. The leading brand liners became very thin and became hard to remove at night because they would break up while being removed. These liners are very good and strong and are removable with ease. At a great price.
What a waste of money. I could get the same results from taking a piece of material and using denture paste on it. They don’t hold. They bunch up and flop around.
Works just like sea bond
