Love everything about these never had used eye cups but I like how they stay sealed around your eye when you’re leaning back to wash out your eyes
These are wonderful. The glass eye cup I have I like because it is glass however it does not fit my eyes well thus it leaks.
The case is an added bonus.
Reasonably priced is always an asset!
I have a stye/chalazion in my eye and I heard that some people were able to reduce or even eliminiate the pesky stye/chalazion with a warm (or hot, if your eyelids can tolerate it) water + salt eye wash. Initially, I was going to purchase a plastic or glass cup but then I saw this silicone eye wash cup and decided to give it a go. I’m so glad I purchased this! It works really well. I have a petite face and the cup molds to my eye socket and even has a soft suction effect as I press down on the cup against my skin. They’re very, very sturdy – not flimsy at all. I’ve been able to pour hot water into these and handle the cup just fine, no heat transfer or damage. They’re easy to wash and clean. And I also appreciate that they come in a container for storage. I highly recommend these over plastic or glass eye wash cups.
These bring me so much morning relief, when I can’t even open my eyes without scratching them. I love the case—I can pour a little saline into each cup before I go to bed, set them on my nightstand, and close the lid, until
I’m ready to use it. It’s not perfectly sterile, but for the most part, no dust or lint will contaminate the wash before I use the eyebaths. In the morning, I can sit up, find everything by feel, and place the baths over my eyes — how good it feels—and stay there until enough moisture seeps between my eyelids to slowly, gently, lubricate my eyes enough for me to open them, without scratching my corneas to hash. Then, I can see to begin to deal with my prescription eye drops.
I do have to sit up first—I can’t establish enough of a seal to lay down with the eye baths. Even when there is suction to my face, it will still leak around my eyes (I have a narrow face). Saltwater on my pillowcase is not such a big deal, but it would be nice to be able to lay back down instead of holding my face upward to maximize the seal and minimize the dripping into my hair and on my face, since I can’t see to lay down a towel on my pillow yet until *after I have used the bath so I can open my eyes.
For the price, though, these are fantastic, and they help a great deal. In a pinch, I’ve used distilled water and sinus rinse salt packets to soak my eyes when I ran out of saline. When the pain is intense, keeping the saline/rinse in the refrigerator can be very soothing as well.
This is the BEST thing ever for irritated eyes. I love how it feels to wash my eyes. I’m old and my eyes are tired so it’s nice to use this when I get up in the morning
I guess it’s worth the cost it fits perfectly no leak as long as I put it on properly and I’m rinsing my eyes good quality and comfortable enough especially in light of what it is being used for
Good suction, works well
