When I first used it, my teeth felt so clean and slick. The different taste took me back as if I had just gotten out of a dentist chair. I had deep pockets in certain areas in my gums and I used both products for less than 2 months. At my next dentist appointment in June, the dentist was pleasantly surprised of the improvement of my gums from the last appointment. She thought I had just been flossing and using the Waterpik more than before, but I flossed and used the Waterpik the same as before. When I had my dentist appointment in December, the dentist told me my pockets got even smaller than it was in June. I am convinced and very happy. I will use these products faithfully.
My teeth and gums! It works well!
If you’ve never tried these products, you owe it to yourself for a clean brushing, and rinsing. It will be completely different to what you’re use to. This mouthwash can actually heal issues in your mouth. Especially your gums. I’ve been using this for years. Everyone that I have told about it and tried it, fell in love with it. IT WORKS.
The flavor of this seems to be a bit more sour than normal AND I paid for shipping to get it here sooner and it was LATE. I am not satisfied
After using toothpaste twice, mouth sores were gone. I was always getting mouth and tongue sores which many times also gave me ear aches for some reason. No more. I would recommend at least trying this product if you frequently get mouth sores. May not work for everyone, but, at least for the last month, has worked well for me. Also leaves a nice smooth, clean feeling to my teeth. Mouthwash also leaves you with a nice, clove taste. Not overpowering. Recommend both the toothpaste and the mouthwash. Got my brother and his wife using it now also.
This is the best toothpaste and mouthwash if you have any tooth or gum issues. They completely heal gum irritation and stop bleeding. Sorry, gross, but honestly this brand is fantastic and I hope they’re always around. The flavor of the mouthwash may not be fantastic for everyone but it’s totally worth it. It’s kind of a spicy clove flavor. No fluoride in the toothpaste and very healthy ingredients. Great company.
Works well.
I have a history of gum disease and had to have scaling done years ago and at the last cleaning, the hygienist let me know that I had two pockets of #6 and several of lower sized pockets. She wanted me to make an appointment for laser gum surgery. I called that periodontist’s office and was told that the initial exam is $30l.00. Not just 300, but actually one dollar more! As if that one dollar would get me so much more. I found it amusing, but I digress.
The point was that I was facing the 300.00 charge and a charge of about 3,000.00 for the magic surgery. I decided to start doing my own research and see what I could find. What I found was that even with all the intense care I was giving my teeth and gums, I was still losing the battle. It would continue to be a losing fight too, unless I started using Xylitol products along with other natural, alkaline ingredients.
As an aside here, wouldn’t it be nice if the dentists and hygienists suggested practical solutions instead of just blaming and shaming those of us who always use flossing, brushing, and Water pics? In all the years I’ve gone to dentists and hygienists, it was always a crap shoot as to what shape my mouth would be in regardless of the care I’d used or not used. I am so tired of it and a bit angry that not one of those dentists or hygienists have EVER offered a solution to me – a real solution – instead of just more of the same that NEVER worked or would EVER work for me. It makes me wonder, since doing some research if our American dentists and hygienists are really just trying to increase their bottom lines rather than actually helping their patients. UGH. Thankfully, though, I think I have it now and I’m eager to verify that soon.
Xylitol, it seems, needs to be listed as one of the top two or three products in the ingredients, and not have all that other nasty stuff that adds nothing to one’s teeth or gum health. I purchased many natural toothpaste and mouthwash products; some costing quite a bit of money, but I’m serious about NOT having the need for that surgery, so I’m on a quest to find a solution.
I also purchased an irrigator that is much stronger than the Water Pics that I’ve used diligently for years. This irrigator uses Xylitol tablets in the irrigator that helps clean the pockets and between the teeth. This irrigator has been a wonderful product for me, but it is powerful and I started on the highest setting (not following directions for that product) since I wanted to really get in those deep pockets (that my hygienist stated to me that even she could not clean and that I would not be able to clean either, so really needed the periodontist. (Don’t tell me I can’t because I will do my best to do it.) Anyway, I know they are healing because the pain and bleeding has stopped after using the irrigator and these other products.
I think the taste of both these items by Vita-Myr is fine, (reminds me of the old Clove gum) but they do not last as long for me regarding freshness as the NOW Xylitol toothpaste and mouthwash that also whitens. Additionally, the whitening component is not there and I have always had white teeth. But, I will say that I would trade whiteness of my teeth for healthy teeth, if push came to shove. I just want my teeth strong and healthy with firm, tight gum pockets. However, after using the irrigator on too high a setting for a week or so, my gums were irritated a bit and sore. But I used the Vita Myr value package and that feels all well now; I’m sure it is the contents that are doing this and I know they are healthy for my mouth. So, my plan is to mix these products with my NOW Xylitol ones, switching them up a bit.
I will use each brand, at least once a day, and hope for the best. I am scheduled to go back to the hygienist in two months and I will report back then, since so many folks review products and don’t follow up and I don’t know if they worked for gums or not. I don’t know about you, but I read reviews to see if they work for others with similar concerns as mine. I want to let all benefit with my experience, so I will report back here. You can count on it!
Oh, and one more tip, ditch any product, even natural ones, that contain alcohol. It is drying and that is bad for your mouth. You need to work toward killing that bacteria that causes these issues and bad breath and you don’t do that if you are creating anything less than an alkaline mouth and using Xylitol for those bacteria to gobble up and die. Alcohol will create an acidic environment and that is not conducive to a healthy mouth. Besides, it burns and who wants that going on? Not me! Xylitol and alkaline is what you want and really need to avoid the dentist, or at least the periodontist.
I wish all here healthy teeth and gums. Onward and upward!
