I use nasal strips to help breath at night, however they costs 25 AED for a box of 10, of which at least 3 generally go wasted because they dont stick.
I tried this devices, the hard cones did not solve my problem, while the silicon tubes workes quite fine.
I use the largest one and they fit well.
After insertion I do not have any discomfort.
Only the first 2 times I had to pull them out during night, but then I had no problems and they stay in place.
The silicon is good quality. No odor at all, good moulding, washable.
They help a lot, i see it because i wake up with better freshness of mind.
Not every nose will be a perfect fit, but for the price give it a try!
I have a deviated septum and a snoring problem. I wasn’t sure if these would help at all, but figured it was worth a try. So, I got the mixed pack. For myself, the medium seemed to fit best. I find the silicon ones a little more comfortable, but even the hard plastic ones were easy to get used to. I can breath through my nose and the wife says that I am snoring less. It didn’t stop the snoring, just reduced it. I’m good with that. According to my smart watch my SPO2 sits higher through the night, I’m am sleeping more solidly, and feeling more rested in the morning. Most my problem is years of fighting have left my nose messed up. This helps. I’m sure dealing with the doctors would be better, but I ain’t got time for that.
I appreciate the variety of sizes and that there are both soft and stiff options in this set, but unfortunately I cannot wear any of them without sneezing uncontrollably
I have a deviated septum and inflamed passages. When I’m laying down, sometimes my nasal passages narrow and there’s not as much airflow. I was speaking with my ENT and he told me that these should help with that. I had used nasal strips before and they didn’t do much, and the sticky/itchy feeling of them drove me nuts.
Well these air vents are a different story. They’re not a cure all but they sure do help. There’s a pack of different sizes and there was a size that fit well for me. There’s two options of ‘style’: ones that are rings and more hard material, and ones that are tube shaped and soft, flimsy material (like silicone). I personally prefer the ring one because there’s space in between the rings which helps me feel like there’s more airflow, but to some it might feel too tough and uncomfortable so there’s the other option which is nice. There’s a stopper at the base of the vents that keeps them snug to your nose.
There’s no weird smell or anything. I clean mine after each use with some clean warm water and a paper towel, and then let air dry completely until the next night. I would say these are definitely a convenient affordable hack for when you feel like you just want a little extra serenity, for sleep, hanging out in your house, or even would be useful for a gentle walk or hike.
No me han servido para los ronquidos. Si respiro mucho mejor, y a la vez ronco más. Parece ser que mi problema de ronquidos viene de otra cosa.
Works REALLY WELL,
BUUUUUUUT
1. Make sure you find the RIGHT FIT (the nose should not be extremely pinched, Silicone helps relieve it by being softer, but possibly go a size bigger if neccessary.)
2. SHAVE YOUR NOSE HAIRS IF YOU USE THIS
I gave myself a nose ache, and accidental nose hair bleeding when I woke up the next morning when switching to the silicone..
I woke up with my nose sore wondering why, and then realized the silicone was pulling my hairs as it entered/pushed into my nose.
The product came with 8 pieces (4 sizes for 2 editions; plastic ‘cone’ shaped & silicone)
The plastic can be a bit harsh on sensitive noses for it doesn’t really bend much
The silicone feels in the hand like it would lose it’s shape, but IRL it holds your nose open pretty well
My little brother (12) uses the Small plastic “cone” and says it helps him and doesn’t hurt his nose and he’s sick as of rn, and it’s helping open his nose well at nights
My sister (24) uses the Medium silicone and says it helps a lot
Me (23) I used the Medium plastic “cone”, then switched used the Large Silicone for it feels SUPER smooth on.
It just feels weird on entry for the silicone has good grip that my nose feels sensitive when friction is applied at first.. then it’s fine
If your nose is sensitive, try “twisting” the silicone in your nose, and NOT shoving it in directly. It reduces the awkward friction feeling a bit.
Everyone, including me have stated it helps very much.
Nobody’s complained yet.
I been using it half a week now, doing good so far.
Fun fact:
Everyone’s had this weird sense of “difference” when we first applied this item.
Everyone noted that you notice an EXTREME openess of your nose that you’ve never had this much air before, it feels weird.
Make sure to keep it clean as well.
NOTE:
THIS WILL NOT OPEN NOSES 100% of the time
If YOU got something in that nose, that’s something YOU gotta clear manually to then feel the difference this item allows.
This can help stuffy noses, but not gold mines.
This item is such a game changer that I could actually cry!!!!. I have a deviated septum and I’m terrified of the surgery (the whole packing my nose and not being able to breathe makes my skin crawl off my skeleton). My right nostril is the problem, so when I lay on my left side to try to sleep, my right nostril starts to collapse and I can’t breathe unless I hold it open with my thumb and my hand across my face. This has been going on for YEARS, but only recently has it gotten worse to the point of seeing an ENT. The Breathe Right strips aren’t strong enough to keep my nose open and I’ve said it forever “what if there was a hard tube I can just stick inside my nostril to keep it from collapsing”. YOU GUYS- THIS IS FINALLY THAT THING!!!! I got this multi pack. The soft silicone ones will be useless to me, not strong enough, so the hard ones are what i needed. Glad i bought the pack with varying aizes to test which one fits the best. Size medium for me. You can feel it, its not like you put it in and forget its there, but is isnt UNcomfortable. Especially having a deviation you can definitely feel it- it’s a snug fit, but in my mind, that’s what its supposed to do, and HOLY MOLY DOES IT WORK. I’m testing it out laying on my left side as I write this review and not once have I needed to mess with my nose to open my nostril to breathe. Effectiveness 10/10. Usability 10/10. Value 10/10. For less than $10 I can finally breathe WITHOUT needing to do the surgery or holding my nose uncomfortably open. Knowing what I know now, even if this product was double the price, I’d buy it on repeat forever!!!
Does not work. This only flares the nostril. How does this even help?
Seems like congestion due to allergies are further up in the sinuses and likely also involve the turbinates.
I’ll save you the effort (and wasted time) in case you’re thinking the same thing:
In desperation, I separated the largest one and used a Bic pen to force it far, far, far up my nasal cavity to see if I could pry open an air passage.
Nope.
The thickness of the stent itself (even the largest one) is a restriction and it seems like the air passage up there is like a super narrow hallway. It’s certainly not short tunnel that can be held open with these.
Save yourself the trouble and use a super dilute nasal spray to avoid rebound congestion.
