   Easy to dissolve 1/3 tsp of this powder in my morning drink. Been using this for about 9 months. Love it.

   I purchased this same product locally for one of my feline family members that has a chronic eye condition (caused by a form of feline herpes that frequently causes upper resp infections in cats and kittens) some time ago. I found it to be less expensive thru the Amazon website when ordering three containers at a time (it actually arrive early, same shipping for three as for one). It not only helps with the feline resp issues, but it also boosts a cat’s immune system significantly in my experience. And I personally have little doubt that it is a very effective remedy in reducing the effects of cold sores (yet another herpes infection) in humans. Why this product in particular? In the past I could only find the lysine in tablet or capsule form which usually included coatings or fillers. My feline friends are much more inclined to take their daily dose in a dab of canned food with the powdered product (1/4 teaspoon daily). Until they can produce a tasteless product I’ll rate this current product with 4 stars!

   Awesome for people like me with lyme or autoimmune. I was not sick once in a year taking it daily until last week and the flu I got was mild. I mix it in with my ultima electrolytes.

   Due to a genetic issue causing complications with building antibodies to it, I had shingles EIGHT times in less than three years. The vaccine wasn’t an option due to the antibody issues. I was basically told this was my new normal.
   Not willing to accept that, I used my medical background to do some research and decided to try a low arginine diet with supplemented lysine.
   I have not had shingles in nearly a year now. When I feel the neuropathic pain increase, I double my dose. This brand has worked the best for me. When I tried others, I had to take triple the amount and still didn’t feel that well.
   I never skip a day and make sure to never run out.
   The evidence that led me to this solution was mostly regarding HSV1 & HSV2. There have been many, many medical studies regarding those two viruses in particular. Shingles is the same thing as varicella (chicken pox) and is also known by the name herpes zoster. It stuff to reason if it was effective with other viruses in the herpes family, it could be on this as well.
   There are some studies on L-Lysine and shingles/ varicella, however it is not as well researched. There are also studies with EBV (mono). Hopefully someone will do more of these studies soon as there is a lot of anecdotal evidence showing the effectiveness on many viruses. Simply stated, there is no profit in people using this to help their health so the studies have no funding.
   Still, it has helped me tremendously and it’s not very expensive. Anyone suffering from increased viral load/ recurring infections may want to give it a shot.

   This will be my second purchase as the first container is almost gone due to the fact that my cats have viral infections that pop up every so often especially when they go to the vet. This lysine powder helps to boost the cats immune system iand guard against cold sneezing upper respiratory infection and coughing and after a few days of mixing it in with their food my cats are back to being bright eyed bushytailed and excitable. It comes with a convenient little scooper so you get just the right amount mixed in with wet food. Alone it doesn’t taste flavorless but mixed in with food or water my cats cannot tell a difference and get excited about eating wet food. The amount you get for the price is amazing I think I’ve had mine for a good 2 to 3 years now Humans could also take it if you feel a little cold coming on so I like to have it around in general I would highly recommend you buy this especially if you have dogs or cats that are prone to upper respiratory infections and viruses.Originally my vet gave us a tiny vile the cost triple the price and when I realized I could buy it myself without paying the high vet costs that worked out great.

   Pros: * Cost *Powder *Flavorless to me at least, we’ll see what the cat has to say

   Cons: * None as yet other than a little clumping, but believe me I’ll update this review if there are any in the future.

   I would buy this again. I am currently taking L-Lysine in pill supplement and just may switch to powder when I run out. 😉 Happy with purchase so far.

   No issues with the product. I like that there are no fillers added to it. I add lysine powder to nut milks which are high in arginine in order to help prevent cold sores. It does help with that.
