After recently seeing “The Book of Mormon” and the HBO documentary about Scientology, I’m all to willing to believe that people will believe what they choose to believe (based on persuasive agents ranging from Mormon missionaries at your front door step to a Tom Cruise siting at a Dianetics conference. Neither my doctor nor my blood panel results have offered convincing proof that one scientist’s research showing that arginine lowers cholesterol can be trusted. But if you’ve read the book and are game to give it a try–or if you’re already a believer based on persuasive personal evicence of improved cholesterol readings, then I’m convinced, after trying half a dozen other brands, that Cardio Heart Health is the best all-around value for the money. (It’s probably best to remember that “middle men” are frequently involved in a product like this, which can account for price differences as well as some of the disparities in the ratings among brands.) At present this brand appears to offer the most product for the money. The next least-expensive brand costs ten dollars more for a mere 12 ounces compared to the 16+ ounces of the Cardio Heart Health container.
The taste is less objectionable than some of the others–not as sweet, and not as “chemical” (it’s noteworthy that the ingredients list “sugar” as a flavoring). In fact, the flavor is reminiscent of mom’s grape Kool-Aid (I know, it’s hard to say that for those of us who remember Jim Jones). The additives are generous and genuinely heart-healthy, practically obviating the daily use of additional vitamin tablets. (I do wish, however, that the formula had included at least a modest amount–50 mg?–of CoQ10, which is one of the few vitamins endorsed by Consumers Reports).
Personally, I’m not as yet totally convinced in the benefits of either this product or the even more touted CoQ10, but I do know that Cardio Heart Health is my brand of choice, and I would welcome its availability as a subscription item (or Pantry Produto) through Amazon Prime.
I just ordered the 3 pack after using one bottle for a month. I’m a 65 year old male. I’m a real purchaser and user if only for one month so far.
Yesterday I went to the cardiologist and he said these supplements are “snake oil.” Then he checked me out and (after only using one bottle, or about a month’s worth) he noticed the swelling in my ankles was gone and my cholesterol has come down. Not so lucky with my BP though. The doc said if there were miracle mixtures he would be using them… LOL… Just getting rid of my headaches is well worth the price for me.
Pros for me:
– Migraine headaches are virtually gone.
– Better circulation because the swelling in my ankles is gone.
– Improved ED which my wife likes too.
– I “feel better” over all than when I don’t take this.
– No stomach or digestive problems like I get from other brands/types of vitamin supplements.
– It dissolves easy and has not clumped up like I read in other feedback.
Cons:
– It has not lowered my BP. I hope it will given more time.
– Cost… nothing is free, but this is less than $30 per month. It’s well worth it to me.
I recommend giving this a trial if your looking for a vitamin supplement with various benefits!
On November, 2013, a cardiologist diagnosed my 81-year old husband with heart disease and placed a stent in one of his arteries that was 95% occluded.
Before the procedure my husband would walk a few feet and experience intense heartburn, chest discomfort and slight shortness of breath (sob) that disappeared with rest.
Following the procedure he was like a new man. Throughout each day with exertion, however, he’d have occasional bouts of chest discomfort and heartburn. Tests showed no cardiac changes.
“We aren’t born with heart disease,” I explained. “Risks like age, gender, race and genetics are beyond our control. Other risks we can control are lifestyle changes like nutrition and exercise.”
Despite making nutritional changes my husband felt as though he lacked something in his diet. He discovered Cardio Heart Health while online researching. His cardiologist didn’t like the 6 grams of sugar per serving in the product but noticed it had many vitamins and said it couldn’t hurt.
Each morning my husband takes half the recommended dose of the pleasant tasting powder mixed with 4-8 ounces water. The granules don’t dissolve easily when mixing so add water as needed. A week and a half later he noticed that for days he has had no chest discomfort or indigestion. He felt energetic and was doing more around the home.
The only drawback I found is the ingredients and directions label is so tiny that my husband uses a magnifying glass to read the details.
I recommend anyone to talk with their doctor about this supplement and take no more than the recommended dose unless your doctor specifies otherwise.
Thank you.
Rebecca C.
Good product
Best bang for your buck. I’ve been to herbal shops with vitamins that have the same or less ingredients and it’s much higher. Plus, it’s easy to blend and you feel the energy
